I was devastated to hear that Ron was gone. He was such a good person and a true advocate for Sherman Oaks. He was knowledgeable and fair and generously made himself available to all of the constituents in Sherman Oaks if there were issues to be discussed. He took his (voluntary) responsibilities seriously and discharged them with the utmost integrity. I relied on him for guidance several times and found him to be a very upstanding guy. I was pleasantly surprised to run into him at a local retail store a year or so ago. He was with his lovely wife. We exchanged pleasantries. I spoke to him a few times after as we worked together on an issue important to my neighborhood. I will miss his integrity, his sense of fairness, his insistence on always following the rules governing his service to the community, his knowledge and how he lead the Neighborhood Council and the Land Use Committee. Ron, you were a true mensch and you will be greatly missed.

We have nothing but fond memories of his kindness. My husband, Gabriel, had great respect and admiration for his former employer. Our most heartfelt condolences.

Ron Ziff, z”l of blessed memory, was my friend and colleague who served for a decade with me on the Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Council Board (SONC). I'm deeply saddened by his passing. He was a mensch who was kind, caring, advocate for the Sherman Oaks community. His presence and voice will be missed. May Ethel, their sons, family and all who knew Ron be comforted by HaShem among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

Ron was always so charming and gracious to me, what a mensch. I first met him at Jack's birthday party, and always tried to seek him out. I will always remember his devotion to Ethel, changing the diet and doing the cooking, and I too will plant a fruit tree in his honor. I am so sad I can't be with you at this terrible time. How awful for Ethel, I hope she makes it through and will be pulling for her. Stay well, stay strong, take good care of one another. Ron's love will always be with you. He gave you the tools, now you'll just have to watch a you-tube on how to cut up a chicken--then you can show me. xoxoxo

Dear Ziff Family, The service for Ron was beautiful. I enjoyed the memories shared. I agree with Judy, Ron was a gifted storyteller and each of you shared his spirit. David and I send our love and condolences. Please give Ethel a hug from us when you can. Love always, David and Tracey

Ron is one of our dearest and longest friends...Ethel & Beverly have been friends since their school days...Our children grew up together and we are particularly proud of Richard's and Benjamin's integrity and accomplishments. There is no way to express our grief at our loss and we can only hope that the sadness we suffer, right now, will give way to pleasant memories of Ron's abiding presence with us. With love, Dan & Beverly
