Shemini Atzeret
Celebrates spiritual aspects of Sukkot and leads the way into Simcha Torah (the celebration of the Torah)
First Day of Passover
Commemorates the Jews’ exodus from slavery in Egypt and journey to the land of Israel; the Seder meals are held on the first two days of Passover
Seventh Day of Passover
Commemorates the Israelites crossing the Red Sea under the leadership of Moses
Shavuot
Commemorates the day God gave the Torah to the Jewish people
