IT Specialist

Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary is currently seeking an IT Specialist to join their team in Los Angeles, California. The IT Specialist is responsible for supporting various daily IT functions, including installations, upgrades, helpdesk support, and maintenance of hardware and software applications. Under the supervision of the Business Compliance and Operations Director, the IT Specialist will monitor and forecast necessary expansion of technology-related needs, support communication systems, and coordinate with management to implement technical processes that increase efficiency across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving and customer service skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Additionally, experience with audiovisual (AV) systems will be advantageous in this role.

The hourly rate of pay for this position is $38.00-$40.00/hour.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant business experience in IT management or a related field.
  • Strong accuracy, organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional computer skills at an expert level, particularly with Microsoft Office applications and CRM software.
  • Expert with Windows and experience with network protocols, firewall renewals, VPN technologies, and AV systems.
  • Ability to exercise discretion with confidential or sensitive business information.
  • Professional demeanor and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and partners. Maintain a positive and professional attitude that aligns with our core values.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work onsite and provide support as needed, including AV system support.
  • Strong technical skills in server administration, network management, and system troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and tools, such as firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems, including AV security considerations.
  • Strong customer service skills.

 

This position must be able to work Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • This position requires regular attendance and cannot be performed from home.

Field Crew Associate

Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary is currently seeking a highly motivated Field Crew Associate to join our team in Los Angeles, California. The hourly rate of pay for this position is $20.00-$22.00/hour.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Set-up and closing of graves and wall crypt sites.
• Assist visitors in the park with trimming and cleaning of burial site markers.
• Install markers on ground and walls and marker rubbings.
• Assist rabbis and funeral directors at services.
• Additional responsibilities include washing down sidewalks and wall crypts, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning of flower stations, cobweb removal, cleaning sarcophagus and picking up debris from various areas of the park.
• Other duties may include but are not limited to picking up parts and materials as needed from outside vendors and stores and interacting with families and guests to Hillside.
Qualifications:
• Backhoe and tractor operation experience preferred but not required
• Experience with hand-held power tools and light equipment and two-way radios preferred
• A minimum of one-year relevant experience preferred
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean DMV record
• Strong ability to exercise sound judgment
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail skills
• Positive and professional attitude and demeanor
• Must pass a basic physical and drug test post offer
• Must pass a lifting test of 100 lbs. and be able to push and pull 100 lbs.
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time and access all areas of the park
• Must be able to stoop and bend and stand on scaffolding or climb ladders up to 25 feet
This position must be able to work Sundays with a rotating schedule and be able to work outside in all types of weather.
