I remember Marvin very well. I worked in the Beverly Center location of Chanins. I had just moved to L.A. from Maryland and it was my first gig. I have very fond memories of him and the amazing people I got meet there. His wife who was a joy who had the location on level 7, "ICE" and of course his son who had Boot Camp next door. He gave me carte blanche on doing windows because of my creativity and art background and signed off to having me be a key holder/asst. mgr. I was with him when we went through the Northridge earthquake. He was resilient and we bounced back. It was a experience that I will always remember. I am still in contact with one of his managers, Bruce Gilbert n associate Feather Magee. Memories that still make me smile. I still hear him saying "Bill, you are like a son to me!!! Keep up the good work!! Amazing sale! LOL

Wow....I worked for Marvin at his Westwood store, Chanin's in early 80's. Remember him so clearly. all great memories of him and the store and all the great people I met. The most fun job of my life. Learned a lot from Marvin... cool guy and a good guy. RIP Marvin, Jerry Russoniello
