June 27, 1963 – July 15, 2017 Kevin Louis Caamano of the Glendale-Los Angeles area passed away in his sleep Saturday, July 15, 2017 with his family and favorite Snoopy “doggie” at his side. Son of Sheila and August Caamano, both deceeased, born in Evanston Illinois. Kevin is older than his twin sister Brigid. He is a proud graduate of Maine East High School, Park Ridge, Illinois. In the 80’s the family relocated to Roseville, California taking them closer to Brigid’s family and the first grandchild. Kevin thrived in his new environment at the ARC community there. When his dad and best buddy died in 1991, Kevin and Mom eventually moved to Glendale-Los Angeles and the nearness of the family there. In Glendale, Kevin became a Thursday night regular at Club Maple, and it was an integral part of his social life. Kevin, with his family and sidekick, Snoopy, was an enthusiastic traveler, Special Olympics athlete, and sports fan (especially blackhawks and Cubs). His winning smile, kind heart, spirited humor, and interest in people won him fans the world over. He walked tall with a smile, a hearty “hello”, and an extended hand. We are lucky to have passed through a corner of this world with him and miss his Light mightily. Kevin is survived by his oldest sister Samantha Churchman and RIchard Sowa. Older sistere Colleen Caamano-Keppler and Joe, older brother Erin Caamano and Susan, twin sister, Brigdid Hebert and Ray, nephews Clynton and Tyler Hebert, and niece Raechel Hebert. A memorial service with the extended family is planned for Spring, 2018 in Chicago. Honorariums may be sent to Special Olympics, Southern California, 1334 South Central Ave. Los Angeles, CA. 90021 with the notation “In Memory of Kevin Caamano’.
