Trudy Graff passed away March 20th, 1219am in her home at 96 years old. Although she had been on hospice for over a year with heart failure, she remained living with her elegant dignity in her beautiful apartment in the Towers in Laguna Woods until the end. Before this last year she enjoyed a vibrant, long full life.

At age 17, Trudy was married to the love of her life, Michael, in 1942 during WW11 in London England. Trudy and Michael had three daughters, Carole, Gillian and Shannon. In 1964 the family, including Trudy’s mom Sadie, immigrated to America. With Southern California as their destination, their life unfolded with blessings of grandchildren and fun in the sun. They purchased their first home in Westchester. Trudy worked for Good Year Tire Company (then known as Mark C Bloom Tire Co.) starting as an inexperienced bookkeeper; she worked her way up to Account Executive training bookkeepers in all their stores from Los Angeles to Ventura.

Trudy and Michael retired in 1991 to Laguna Woods. Trudy and Michael became very much involved in the Hikers Club organizing not only fun trails to hike every Saturday but organizing many cruise and day trips. They also successfully managed fundraising and were able to donate these funds to charity.
They loved to dance, and were known in the Laguna Woods Village as “The Dancers.” At the frequent dances in Village club houses, the floor would clear for them as everyone watched their elegant ballroom dancing. They enjoyed cruises, at least two to three cruises a year, dancing and making friends along the way. On every cruise they were known for entering and winning “The Marriage Game Show” on board ship. They knew how to get the audience laughing, and fun was the name of their game. They were married 72 years until Michael’s death in 2014.
Trudy is survived by two of her three daughters. (Sadly and unexpectedly Carole passed away on March 1st of last year.) Trudy’s surviving daughters are Gillian Griffin and Shannon Yonkers.

Trudy had seven grandchildren: Carole’s children, Melissa and Andrea; Gillian’s step daughter, Ansley. Shannon’s children, Brandie, Ryan, Chelsea and Taylor.

Trudy had 8 Great-grandchildren: Adam, Zachery, DJ, Amanda, Hailey, Kasey, Caleb and Aubrey.
Trudy had 4 Great-great grandchildren: Adam’s Zoey and Zara; Amanda’s Destiny and Jackson
