Community Service
Tikkun Olam, or repairing the world, is central to our mission at Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary. Serving our community lies at the core of this mission and motivates our donations, grants, and outreach programs. Some of these programs include:

The Hillside Chesed Project
As part of our Community Donation program, we collect toys and books for the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, eyeglasses for the Lions Club, hearing aids for the Towers Audiology Center, and food for the Jewish Family Services of LA Community Food and Resource Program.

Genizah Burial Site
In accordance with Jewish tradition, we maintain a community Genizah, or burial site, for sacred objects like retired Torah scrolls and worn prayer books. We are grateful for the community’s generosity. However, we are not currently receiving Genizah materials.
