Obituaries

I've known Stan for 66 years. We started working together as young kids working at Union Oil Co. in downtown Los Angeles. We and several others had so much fun just being young and "dumb" as IBM machine tab operators. We both survived being drafted into the Army and then married a couple of sweet young gals from the mid-west. We stayed in touch with Stan and Dianne over the years as they are the kind of people you always wanted to keep as friends. Stan and I shared a common cultural background as we were both Turkish Jews which at the time was a rarity for me. Stan introduced this Bronx kid to shooting out in the desert at rabbits. We never did get any but it was the first time I ever fired a gun and it was fun. Rest in peace young man ... it was an interesting ride over the years.
