David and I were both from East End Pittsburgh. We had very much in common and our relationship clicked. He accepted chairmanship of the West Coast Friends of the Jerusalem College of Technolgy and its JCT Network. We'd have business leaders speaking to the Network about every six weeks. David enjoyed sharing his love of Israel and technology with the many who attended. For years we spoke at least once weekly. When he began as chair, there were 300 students at the college. With his help it grew exponentially. Today there are over 5000 students in 5 colleges and a graduated school all feeding Israel insatiable demand for high-tech engineers and managers. Sometimes David and I would meet for lunch just to shmooze and occasionally with his brother Leonard. Our condolences to Susan and family. I've lost a dear friend and soulmate.

Although I have only see to Mr. Wilstein on a few occasions, we did speak on the phone. He allowed me to become a vendor for some of his properties for well over twenty years and I have always been grateful to him for that opportunity he gave me. He appreciated people who worked hard and stood for something. Rest in Peace Mr. Wilstein. Alan Oransky
