Terry Dennis Carpenter, age 76, died peacefully with his wife, Diane and daughter, Alyse by his side on September 2, 2021 at their home in Yorba Linda, California after a courageous battle with cancer.

Terry was born on September 23, 1944 in Elkhart, Indiana to Richard and Annetta Carpenter. At age 18, he hopped on a motorcycle and moved to Southern California seeking adventure. He established a successful career in the food industry for over 50 years working his way up from a box boy to an executive at a food brokerage.

Terry met Diane on a blind date and within a year they married and created a beautiful blended family. They were fortunate enough to celebrate their 40th anniversary on August 1st this year with family and friends.
He is survived by his beautiful bride, Diane, their daughters, Alyse (Paul), Aimee (Phil) and Andrea (Lewis), his 6 grandchildren, Sequoya (Blake), Cadyn, Cody, Peyton, Addison and Lucas.

Besides spending time with family and friends, Terry had a passion for fishing, gardening, baking cookies and Norte Dame football. He could often be found with a tool in his hand and a grandkid by his side. He loved fixing things, driving his Corvette, barbecuing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Terry never missed an opportunity to support his grandchildren by attending sporting events, rodeos and school functions. He also was quick to sponsor charitable events, including City of Hope, Olive Crest and FISMC. He touched many lives with his generosity and passion for life.
Services will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 10:00 am at Hillside Memorial Park, 6001 W. Centinela Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90045. There will be a reception after the service at the Carpenter home. This reception will begin about 1:00 pm.
