Susan Chier Asher

Susan Chier Asher passed away peacefully at home on March 2, 2025, at the age of 78 surrounded by her family. Born on March 7, 1946, Susan lived a life full of accomplishments, dedication, and love.

Susan was a graduate of Beverly Hills High School and earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Southern California. Susan's warm and outgoing personality made her a beloved figure among family, friends, and colleagues. Throughout her life, she was known for her generosity, good taste and ability to empathize with everyone around her in a way that made them feel valued.

Susan began her career as a nurturing teacher at Pacific Palisades Elementary School. She was also a talented interior designer, using her creative eye and ingenuity to transform ordinary spaces into tastefully decorated homes and professional offices.

Susan was predeceased by her parents, Florence and Reuben Chier, and her brothers Richard Chier and James Chier. She is survived by her devoted husband, Raymond Asher, her twin daughters Stephanie Asher and Amy Asher, and her son-in-law Shawn Ledingham. Susan will be dearly missed.
