I had the pleasure of meeting Steve when I became a court commissioner in 2006. Steve and I were on the state-wide Court Commissioners’ Assn. board for many years. Steve was always supportive of his colleagues. I particularly enjoyed our traffic training session together discussing under the Vehicle Code what is a “truck”. My sympathies to the family. Thank you for a lovely service.

I met Steve when I worked at South Bay Municipal Court in Torrance many years ago. He always told me I should go to law school and was supportive when I did. He had a great sense of humor.

Like Howard, I first met Steve in late August 1977, almost 42 years ago. I am referred to as “HB” which stands for Howard’s boss, because that is how I first became part of this great bunch of golf buddies so many years ago. Losing Steve breaks my heart, but thinking of him and the countless memories we have shared will always bring a smile to my face. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. You will be truly missed good friend. God bless.

We've lost a dear, dear friend. I first met Steve late summer, 1977. I immediately like him. Over the next four decades we became fast friends and shared laughs, tragedies, regrets, hopes, desires, and our mutual love of the game of golf. Small in stature, Steve was a GIANT in heart. A warm friendly smile, a caring nature, an understanding of things far beyond my ability to comprehend, and a generosity of time and person with all he met. I'll miss Steve in more ways than I care to admit. My heart breaks for his family and those left behind. My God grant him the peace and comfort he so richly deserves. God Bless Steve...

Steve, you were a friend from yesteryear ready to laugh and point out the silliness of a situation. Always hard working and concerned about the clients. So sad to learn of your passing. We have lost a very good man! Watch over Mary and Joe and throw some prayers my way....could always use the help..... Frances
