There never was a doctor like Dr G-R ! I started seeing him 7 or 8 years ago; he tried everything to ease my pain from Burning Mouth/ mandibular nerve trauma caused by orthodonture. After consulting with many doctors and dentists, only Dr G-R cared, tried everything, and inspired me to keep a positive, strong resolve. I am devastated to hear of his passing; an extraordinary human being. I send my dearest love to his family.

I was heartbroken to learn of Dr. Graff-Radford's passing. Over 10 years ago he diagnosed me with Trigeminal Neuralgia when other doctors were baffled by my symptoms and constant pain. He was patient, compassionate, witty and treated me like a person instead of a bunch of symptoms. He gave hope and understanding to my husband as well. Without a doubt he is the standard by which my family now holds all doctors to. He gave me my life back, when in my early 30s I thought pain would be a daily struggle for the rest of my life. I am blessed to be healed thanks to God, Dr. Graff-Radford's diagnosis and the surgery he recommended and treated me through. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife, daughters and extended family. He will be deeply missed. May he rest in eternal peace.

My sincerest condolences to the Graff-Radford family, I first met Dr. Raford some 15 years plus when he became my expert witness. Having suffered with migraines my entire life I knew he was the doctor for me . Dr Radford was not only my doctor but my friend , serious but full of humor. He was always interested in what was going on in my life, interested in my family and as well he shared the passing of his mother with me at a time when I was going through the same transition. Dr Radford was always open to the newest measures and medications in treating patients but made my experience as if I were his only patient. When I heard of his passing I was overwhelmed with sorrow for his family for his patients for all that knew him he will always be missed.

To Steven's wife and daughters: Although we've never met, I feel like we're friends. Its because of all the wonderful conversations Steven and I had about all of you over the years I was his patient. He was not only my doctor, he was my friend. He never failed to treat me with kindness and deep compassion. The only time he ever lost patience with me was when he felt I didn't call him often enough. His dedication to his patients was extraordinary. But his dedication to his patients was nothing compared to his love for the 3 of you. He was so proud of his "girls". I knew all about his daughters' lives at college, their careers, all the wonderful family vacations you all had together. He took such pride in his family. I am so sorry for your terrible loss. I hope that you are surrounded by loving friends and family right now. I know it's what Steven would have wanted for you. Please know that this amazing man will be missed and mourned by so many of us.

Dear Natalie, Alexa and Kate, Mark joins me in expressing our profound sympathies at the loss of your husband and father Steven. He was a fantastic doctor to me when I contracted Shingles six years ago & prior to that time as well. I respected him as my pain management doctor & loved him for the fine, wonderful person he was. My heart is with you during this very challenging time. I am relieved that he is at peace. Warm personal regards, Freya Ivener

My deepest sympathy to Natalie and family over their loss. Colleagues and legions of students are greatly in debt to Steven, who provided them a unique vista into facial pain disorders and headache. It is difficult for me to imagine anyone trying to follow the footsteps of this brilliant clinician.
