Steven Brian Cooper

July 18, 1940 – August 5, 2016 Steven Brian Cooper, 76, passed away suddenly in Los Angeles, CA after a recent illness. He was born in Montreal, Canada. Son of Roy and Anne (Riback) Cooper, he is survived by his beloved wife, Cynthia/Xiaoqian, his children, Rhonda (Cooper) and John Gilberg, Alyssa (Cooper) and Scott Sapire, Daniel Johnson, step-daughter Yanan Sun, and brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Nessa Cooper. Known as “The Zaid” to his grandchildren, he will be missed by Amanda, Samantha, Isaac, and Solomon, and by many close cousins, nieces and nephews. He graduated from McGill University with a degree in commerce and worked in the entertainment industry for over 40 years. A charismatic storyteller, he relished the company of close friends and family. Memorial Service, Monday, August 8, 2016, 10:00am at Hillside Memorial Park Cemetary, 6001 W.
