A knockout on the big screen! A gleaming talent whether in the line of Roger Edens' Assoc. Producer of the Gene Kelly directed movie, Hello, Dolly, a principal dancer with the rubber limbs in Garland's Get Happy Number, or as a singled out dancer in Mr. Astaire's TV spectacular. Bert May, my eyes were drawn to you multiple times---you had that little extra something, that punch of talent--- among so many other brilliant movie chorus dancers; like you supporting Ann Miller in the Chuck Walters' directed Easter Parade, Ann high over head in the Girl on the Magazine Cover. Dance well as you are truly one of Leo the Lion's More Stars Than There Are In The Heavens.

What an amazing dancer and what an incredible career! Some of my favorite dance sequences as a Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire and Judy Garland fan also included the wonderful Bert May. So glad I found out who he was, when I watch these classic films I find myself watching Bert more than the leads, he had so much energy and took each dance as if it were his last! My sincere condolences to his family, what a talent he was!
