Sonya passed away in Los Angeles, the place of her birth. She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Leo Fields; brother, Gerald Martin Fields; and sister, Anita Finkenthal. She is survived by her daughter, Denise Dexter Buckner; son-in-law, Samuel Todd Buckner; and grandson, Aidan Bruce Buckner. A private service will be held at Hillside Memorial Park.
