Sarah and Louis Bercovitz were our neighbors from the time we were a young couple who had moved into our home. Over the years, Sarah was a source of information, comfort and just simple logic that made sense. She was always beautifully coiffed, wore the finest in fashion, and loved her children and grandchildren. Time marched on - much too fast - and the neighborhood began to change. The little houses were purchased, knocked down and McMansions were built. Jeff and I were no longer the young'uns on the block; we were now senior citizens in retirement. Sunrise-Sunset. I took Sarah and Judy to THE FOUR SEASONS for Sarah's 90th birthday and we had such a good time. We got to see each other at Nishi's place, when we were having our hair done. Loyal Judy was always with her giving love and respect as it was clear Sarah needed help. But she never needed help with her clear thinking, good answers to questions. Even with her eyes closed, we shared visits and she asked about my children and granddaughter. Now, there is a grandson, but he just came and I can't talk to her about him now. Somehow, I think she will know. Sarah always seemed to know about everything. Sarah and Louis were blessed with attentive and loving children until they took their last breaths. I loved you Sarah and now I will love the memories.
