Stanley Minsk, age 94, passed away after a long illness on July 13, 2020.
Stanley was born on June 25, 1926 to Carrie (z”l) and Morris (z”l) Minsk in the Bronx, New York. The family moved to Los Angeles in 1943, where he graduated from UCLA, earning his CPA . After serving in the army, he became a founding partner of an accounting firm that still bears his name. He was a talented and dedicated accountant who worked into his 80’s.
He married Hetty Herman in 1953 and was the loving father of two children, Janna and Alan. His marriage in 1976 to Rosalie Abrahams added three adult children to the fold. He was an avid photographer and tennis player. Together with Rosalie, Stanley enjoyed entertaining, traveling, attending the symphony, synagogue, plays and visits with their blended family.
He is survived by his widow, Rosalie, daughter Janna Minsk (Carl Morehouse), son Alan Minsk (Kari Ofstedahl)), stepson Michael Abrahams (Alison Berka), stepdaughter Barbara Abrahams (Dan Murphy) and grandchildren Devon, Alexandra and Madison Minsk, Max, Rachel, Sam and Katie Abrahams, Michael, Sarah and Julia Kong as well as niece and nephew Robin and Evan (Erika) Mills.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister in law Roy and Carol Mills and stepson Peter Abrahams.
The family is grateful for the constant and loving care of Jerome Bueno and Maria Flordeliza Bueno.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Stanley’s loving memory to his favorite charities, the ACLU, Planned Parenthood or the City of Hope.
Services will be held on July 20, at 2 pm at Hillside Cemetery. Because of Covid Restrictions attendance at interment is restricted.
We will all miss him.
