Ronald Eugene Spencer

January 21, 1937 – April 14, 2017 Ron Spencer passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on April 14th. He was born in Los Angeles to parents Ben and Evelyn Spilholtz, and was pre-deceased by brother Alan. After graduating from Hamilton High School in 1955, Ron attended and played football at LA Valley College and San Jose State, before graduating from USC in 1961. Ron was president of Faber Enterprises for nearly 45 years and remained active in the SAE Aerospace group until he retired in 2011. Ron is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Marilyn. He was a devoted father, coach and mentor to daughter Susan, son Steven, and daughter-in-law Margaret. His grandchildren, Emma, India, and Samantha, loved their “Papa.” He will be sorely missed by all. Services will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Hillside Memorial Park in Culver City. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the Boys & Girls Club of Los Angeles, the Fulfillment Fund, or St. Johns Hospital in Santa Monica.
