Paul Sanford Cooper

April 10, 1931 – May 20, 2021 Paul Sanford Cooper, founder of Cooper Properties, died on May 20, 2021, at age 90, survived by his wife Diane Cooper, daughter Roberta Lynn Axelrod, grandson Jesse Axelrod, and sister Rachelle Butler. Sandy Cooper was born in Brooklyn, New York, and was a long time resident of Los Angeles, and lived the last twenty years in Big Bear Lake, California.He was a graduate of USC, served in the US Air Force in the entertainment unit as apiano player. He was a life time member of the Hillcrest Tennis Club, He was an inventor, avid hobbyist, sail boat Captain, recreational pilot, fisherman, photographer, builder of model airplanes, and dog lover.He loved life and fought to live till the end.Graveside service Sunday, May 23, 2021 at 2:00 pm Hillside Memorial Park.Donations to Norris Cancer Center or Jewish National Fund requested in lieu of flowers.
