Loretta Sandra Appel

Loretta Sandra Faber Appel passed away on July 3rd 2026. She was born in Los Angeles, CA.Loretta is survived by her two sons Larry Toomin and Lance Toomin, grandsons Ryan Toomin and Michael Toomin. She is also survived by her sisters Marilyn Faber Spencer and Linda Faber, her niece Susan Spencer, nephew Steven Spencer, his wife Margaret and her grandnieces Samantha, Emma, and India. She was predeceased by her parents Esther and Sam Faber, her husband Warren Appel and her brother in law Ron Spencer. 

Loretta went to Hamilton High School then went on to study at UCLA. She was very active in charitable work and supported several local organizations including Guild for The Junior Blind and The Fulfillment Fund. Loretta was also known for her amazing parties. She was talented in interior design and loved fashion and style. She would light up a room wherever she would go. Everything she did was first class. Her family was what mattered most to her. . She was an amazing mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother. She was a friend to many and enjoyed playing mahjong and bridge. She loved travelling all over the world from Hawaii to Israel to Europe. She will be forever missed and loved. Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 9th at 2:30pm at Hillside Memorial Park 6001 W. Centinela Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90045. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association .
