Kathryn "Kitty" Weiner

Kathryn “Kitty” Weiner passed away peacefully at her home on November 17, 2025, at the age of 103. Born February 1, 1922, in Myerstown, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Lotti and Davis Dieffenbach. After graduating from Reading Nursing School in 1939, Kitty met Lt. Stephen I. Weiner of the Army Air Corps during a chance dinner while he was visiting Reading on leave—beginning a loving partnership that would last 75 years. Remarkably, both Kitty and Steve lived to be 103 years old!

After raising their two sons, William and Robert, Kitty created and owned a successful travel agency. Through her work, she and Steve explored the world together, visiting more than 120 countries and sharing a lifetime of adventure.

Kitty will be remembered for her warmth and style, her entrepreneurial spirit, and the gracious way she touched the lives of family and friends. She is survived by her sons, William and Robert Weiner, who hold her memory close.
