June Girard

June Girard, 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and loved ones on Friday, June 9, 2017. She is pre-deceased by her parents Jack and Nellie Levine and her sister, Joyce Forest. She was born and raised in Long Beach, California, attended Polytechnic High School and then UC Berkeley and UCLA. She was an incredible athlete and an accomplished and talented tennis player. She taught tennis lessons for many, many years and was active in the Los Angeles Junior Tennis Association. She was a devoted mother to four children and raised her family in Brentwood, and then in the Pacific Palisades since 1974. She is survived by her special, close friend, Shirley Sugden, her four children (Karen Koreh, Judy (Richard) Perlmutter, Jon (Michelle) Girard, and Joanna (Jeff) Katzman) and her 12 grandchildren. June was an unforgettable and beloved member of the community. She will be deeply missed by all her family, friends, neighbors, and all those who knew her over the years.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Hillside Memorial Park at 1:00pm.
