My husband and I met Jerry and Pat probably 30 years ago when my husband, Dana Hollinger, remodeled their Palm Springs condo at the Tennis Club. Through the years, we were guests at their home, their club, attended their grand parties, surprised by our plane tickets that were upgraded to first class—— Jerry even took Dana on a fishing trip to Alaska and admitted that the trip marked the first time he and Pat had ever been apart in all their married years. It was always a welcome phone call when Jerry said they were coming to Palm Springs and where would we like to go for dinner. However, more than all the special occasions we shared with them, what I cherish most are the stimulating conversations. Jerry always seemed to talk about what was happening in Los Angeles, American History, politics, and more before Pat would smile, and share her soft giggle as she steered the conversation from politics to art, fashion, and their many travels. I will always remember Jerry as an intellectual, historian, successful businessman, role model, gentleman, friend and great American. You are already missed.
