Howard Bruce Vein, beloved son of John and Nance Vein; brother of Philip and Sylvia Vein; uncle of Steven Spile, Nicole Vein, Jon Vein and Larry Vein; great-uncle to Jared Spile, AJ Spile, Juliet Spile, Caroline Vein, Jack Vein, Sophia Vein and Amalie Vein, passed on March 17 2017. Howard was born in Detroit Michigan on November 14, 1937 and moved to Los Angles as a young boy. A gifted mathematician, he attained his PHD in mathematics and had a long distinguished career as a senior scientist and consultant. Howard took great pleasure in puzzles and in particular playing poker where he was known by many as “The Professor.” Quick with a smile, sense of humor and desire to share his abundant knowledge, he will be missed by all those who loved him. Services to be held at Hillside Memorial Park 6001 W Centinela Ave. Los Angeles, 90045 on Tuesday, March 21, at 11:00am.
