Helen Kreshek Roseman, 91, passed away on June 1, 2022 in Los Angeles. Helen was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 19, 1931. She was the only daughter of four children, and a true beauty, inside and out. After she graduated from high school in Detroit, she and her family moved to Los Angeles, where she worked in her parents’ bakery alongside her older brother Aleck while also taking community college classes to learn shorthand and typing until marrying Ernest Roseman at age 23. Together they had three daughters, Sharon, Nancy, and Susan. Soon after her girls were all in school full time, she began working as a legal secretary, which she thoroughly enjoyed for many years before retiring.
She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Dora Kreshek and her brothers Aleck Kreshek (Meri Kreshek) and Saul Kreshek, and sister-in-law Lillian Weinberg, brother-in-law Arnold Roseman (Shirley Roseman Lyon). She is survived by her three adoring daughters, Sharon (Paul Palevsky) of Sewickley, PA, Nancy (Yoni Greenfield) of Karmiel, Israel, and Susan (Scott Corwin) of Pacific Palisades, CA, grandchildren Hilary Palevsky (Ada Lerner), Jason Palevsky, Devorah Greenfield, Joshua Corwin, Dovid Greenfield and Yosef Greenfield, her brother Seymour Kreshek (Arline) of Palm Desert CA, sister-in-law Nina Kreshek and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and long-time friend, Sandy Hoffman. She never complained, and always took life’s ups and downs with a smile and a song in her heart. Her last 15 years were challenging as she struggled with Alzheimer’s disease, but somehow she was always calm and smiling.
Graveside services to be held at Hillside Memorial, 10am Tuesday June 7th. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org) or Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (alzfdn.org).
