Gerald Seymour Linder

Gerald (Jerry) Seymour Linder, MD, peacefully passed away of natural causes at the age of 93 on July 11, 2025. Jerry was born to Benjamin Linder and Ida Gladman in Brooklyn, New York on March 30, 1932 and passed away in Boca Raton, Florida. The funeral will be privately held on July 17, 2025 for friends and family who have received invitations.

Jerry graduated from Samuel J. Tilden High School in Brooklyn, New York. Serving four years in the Navy as a dental technician from 1949 to 1953 during the Korean War with honorable discharge, Jerry then went on to develop masks for space exploration pilots as part of Jerry’s involvement in Aviation Medicine before he went on to attend college, medical school, and anesthesiology residency at UCLA.

During his 30 years of saving lives as an anesthesiologist at St. John’s Medical Center in Santa Monica, California, Jerry developed an anesthesia medical device company, Polamedco, Inc., that produced and distributed general anesthesia products across the world. Jerry’s passions also included his wife, his kids, all of his dogs, fishing, and sports. Jerry also enjoyed spending quality time with his grandchildren.

Jerry is predeceased by his wife of 48 years Lorraine Linder (Greenberg) and son Stephen (Steven) Linder. Jerry is survived by his 5 children: Yvonne Thomas (Linder), Stuart Linder, Norman Linder, Craig Linder, and Scott Linder; and his 8 grandchildren – Mathew Thomas (son of Yvonne), Sean Thomas (son of Yvonne), Blake Linder (son of Stuart), Alexis Linder (daughter of Stuart), Ethan Linder (son of

Norman), Bianca Linder (daughter of Norman), Sabrina Linder (daughter of Craig), and Amanda Linder (daughter of Craig).
