Obituaries

Florence Evelyn Tucker passed away on June 16th at home, at peace with family by her side. She had just celebrated her 92nd birthday. She was extremely warm, sweet, loving, intelligent, compassionate and charitable. She was most defined by her love for her family and life long friends. She was born in New York to her parents Isadore and Rose. Her brother Lew whom she adored, was two years younger. She graduated from high school at 16 years old and worked in the garment industry to help her widowed mother support the family. In her early twenties, she married Sam, the love of her life and they were married for 69 years. After retiring, she volunteered and worked at Cedars Sinai Medical Center for more than a decade. She was predeceased by her husband Sam and by her son Craig. She is survived by her son Robert and daughter-in-law Patricia, daughter-in-law Lona, daughter Bonnie and son-in-law Scott and son Jeffrey and daughter-in-law Madelyn and grandchildren Jason, Nicole, Chloe, Adara, Jacob, Elizabeth, Josh, Danielle and Nicolas and four great grandchildren, Madison, Mason, Sydney and Sammy. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Florence’s name to the Jewish Federation, Hadassa or any charity of your choice. We will always love her dearly and we will miss her greatly.
