I was thinking about Sister Cities this evening, and remembered how special Ethelda was and how important she was to Sister Cities International. I googled her name and didn't realize that she had passed away. Such a wonderful woman who loved other cultures and the arts. I will always remember going with Ethelda and the late Anatoly Sobchak (Mayor of St. Petersburg, Russia) to the Shubert Theatre to see a play many years ago. Rest in peace dear Ethelda.

We were in the LA sister city program and when I was a 'newbie' , she was always helpful and supportive to me. God bless.

David. I will miss you dearly. You were a great mentor and a very fair, intelligent and reasonable man. Thank you for the times we shared together. Shane P. Hutton, PHD

I knew David to be a beloved son and brother, husband and father, but personally knew him best as a former business partner and friend. His intellect and thirst for knowledge was matched only by his desire for fairness, justice and zeal for making a contribution to the world. In times when he was able to put serious business aside, I will remember his sense of humor and infectious laugh. Rest in peace old friend. I was, and many were, enriched by your presence. You made the world a better place ... and you will be missed.

Ethelda was a tramendous influence on my life, a day doesn't go by that I don't think of all she introduced me to. The memories are too numerous. I will always be thankful that she was a part of my life.
