BAIZER, Edward passed peacefully on April 10th, 2017. Enjoyed life to the fullest, especially fishing. Achieved happiness by focusing on family, friends, and goodwill.
Along with his brother, Henry “Hank” Baizer, successfully founded and ran A&B Chevy Service in West Los Angeles, for over 40 years.
Past President of the West Los Angeles Optimist Club, where he worked tirelessly for the Optimist Home For Boys.
Past Present of the West Los Angeles chapter of the Jewish War Veterans. Served in the 1st Cavalry Division of the US Army in WWII.
At 6’7″, he was fortunate to be a member of the Tall Towers Club. It was at one of their events that he met 5’2″ Betty Rosen, who became his wife until her passing in 2010.
Always happy to help a friend, he was the go-to guy for anything that needed fixing. He loved fishing, poker, ballroom dancing and fishing. Mostly, he loved fishing.
Loving father of Howard Baizer, Shelly and Michael Krieger, grandfather of Samantha and Joey Krieger.
The family is very grateful to his many nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as his caregiver Maria, who helped him through his declining years.
Services will be held today, Wednesday April 12th, 1:00 p.m. at Hillside Memorial Park, (800) 576-1994
