Obituaries

With a heavy heart, I have to share with you the news of the passing of Bernard Yarchover z”l, father of Jennifer (Doug) Claman and Rebecca (Erik) Mace, and grandfather of Alexandra & Andrea and Dylan & Tyler. Bernie was a mensch in every sense of the word – he devoted his life to helping others, in every business interaction he dealt with compassion and honesty, and he loved his family more than anything. He was blessed with an incredible family and did everything in his power to support them – Bernie is survived by his loving wife, two children and four grandchildren. For over 60 years, he served as a pharmacist helping to supply nursing homes and institutions throughout the region. During his down time, he was passionate about hockey – an original season ticket holder of the LA Blades and of course, the LA Kings. A memorial service took place at CTJ on Sunday, August 20th at 10:00 AM. Following the service there was a meal of condolence at the synagogue.
