It is with deep sadness that the family of Barbara June Cowan announces her passing in the early morning hours of Wednesday, January 20, 2021. Barbara was born in 1935 to Rose Anna Pollock and Samuel Walter Bellman in Los Angeles, California. She attended CAL and then transferred to UCLA. Barbara remained in Los Angeles marrying Stuart Morton Cowan on October 14, 1956 and raised three children, Eileen, Susie and Jeff.
Barbara enjoyed playing tennis and golf, was devoted to her lifelong circle of friends and extended family, all of whom will miss her dearly. Barbara had two great loves in her life, her husband Stuart of over 36 years who she lost in 1993, and Jerry Block her partner of 17 years.
Wife, mother, grandmother and partner, Barbara leaves behind daughter Eileen Stringer, her husband Bob, their children Dylan and Nicky; daughter Susie Cowan; son Jeff Cowan, his wife Beth, their children Jack, Lily and Nicholas; her partner Jerry and his son Steven, wife Zina, their children Austin and Lexi, daughter Karen, husband Aric Partovich, their children Amy and Craig, wife Cara and daughter Blake.
