Audri Tendler passed away at home in Los Angeles, California on May 16,2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 26, 1935, in Detroit, Michigan, Audri moved with her family first to Indianapolis, Indiana, and then to Los Angeles in 1946. She attended Emerson Junior High, University High School, and Los Angeles City College.

In April 1955, Audri met Stan Tendler through a close-knit circle of friends who gathered at The Huddle Restaurant and Agony Hollow Beach. They quickly fell in love, became engaged, and were married on November 27 of that same year.

Their daughter Bettina was born in April 1958, followed by their son Lance in November 1960. After living in Van Nuys, the family settled in Westwood in 1968, where they built deep and lasting roots.

As founder of the men’s apparel company Kennington Ltd., Stan traveled extensively for business, and Audri often accompanied him as they combined work with adventure. Together they spent significant time in Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, and Italy. Years later, returning to China with their four grandchildren, Morissa, Olivia, Alana, and Will. That trip became one of the great joys of their lives. The family also cherished more than 20 consecutive winter holidays skiing in Sun Valley, Idaho, along with summer trips to the historic Sagamore Resort on Lake George, New York, where Kennington was the managing partner.

Throughout the years, Audri and Stan devoted themselves to philanthropy and were especially passionate supporters and co-founders of Stop Cancer, alongside a close group of friends.

Audri is survived by her children, Bettina Tendler O’Mara and Lance (Karyn) Tendler; her grandchildren, Morissa (Max) Hollander, Olivia, Alana (Zachary) Browning, and Will; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Blaze Hollander and Stella May Browning. She is also survived by her loving sister, Linda Janger, as well as many dear nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Concern Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
