Share your Memorial with Family & Friends

I have so many fond memories of dancing with Debbie in Elle Johnson's and also Delores Terry's classes. Her inner beauty, lovely smile and joy of dancing was inspiring to all of us. She was always courageous and optimistic and didn't let anything get in the way of what she loved to do. I am so sorry that she is gone, I will miss her.

Debbie, your spirit was always amazing,a shining light. Together we experienced a lot over the years - from dance class (Elle's); to screenings; going to the Hollywood Bowl; your getting massages from me (the technique that Elle taught me); taking my dance class when I first started teaching(in other words being totally supportive); sharing experiences with some mutual friends!! Rest in Peace, My Friend, I will miss you. To Debbie's family: I am truly sorry for your loss. Debbie will certainly be missed by many. There's nothing I can really say except, ( I hope this does connect with you) what helped me with the losses of deeply loved ones. Debbie is now watching over you - if you could think of her as your guardian angel. That will never replace her presence, but, I found, it brought a bit of warmth to my heart in times past & present, giving me a feeling that I was being protected in the most beautiful way. May you absorb, through Debbie's love, her strength. My Deepest Sympathy, DeeDee Michaels

Debbie loved dancing. We took classes together with Elle Johnson at the Westside School of Dance in Santa Monica for many years. Since she was small, petite - Debbie tended to be up front right behind Elle. I admired and respected her tenacity to overcome health challenges, embracing life with a smile, gentle demeanor and a brave spirit. I remember her fondly... May she forever rest in peace. With my sincere condolences, Suanne Ware-Diaz
