Allen was a wonderful, tremendously engage individual whose comments on social issues will be missed. He performed the bani mitzvot of both my daughters, as well as mine (at age 50!). May his memory be a blessing to us all.

Rabbi Allen was an incredible man with a beautiful heart. His memory is most definitely a blessing! He touched so so many people.

Steffanie and i were devastated to hear of Allen's passing. He was such a significant part of our lives and will be so missed. He officiated at our wedding, was the reason that I became involved at University Synagogue and eventually became its president. Allen and Lori became our dear friends. May his memory be for a blessing. Geoffrey
