About the Artist
Kent Twitchell (1942 -)
Works by Kent Twitchell live in the conscious (or sub conscious) of anyone who has traveled the freeways of LA. Twitchell specializes in larger-than-life photo-realist portraits of people, often celebrities and artists.
Most often, his murals, paintings and drawings depict a lone figure standing and looking straight out at the viewer. His works include the Julius Erving monument in Philadelphia, a mural of the LA Chamber Orchestra on three, nine-story walls overlooking a downtown Los Angeles freeway and a public monument to Will Rogers in San Bernardino. |
